Welcome to the China Bulletin - September 2013

Macau For Christ !

The 2nd Asia youth camp in Macau in 2013 was held from 31 July to 6 August.  Around 100 young people (at age and in heart) from Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and Mainland China gathered in Macau - the historical intersection of East and West, to experience Jesus and to preach the good news among millions of tourists who know Macau only for the casinos rather than a treasure of Christianity and living faith.
Our speakers were a devoted Catholic family, Mr. and Mrs. Cheung with their 2 sons, Nash (23) and Rubio (20), together with their university classmates Andy (19) and Eric (19), all from Taipei.

The days were fullfilled with prayers, celebration of Eucharist, music, songs and dance, teaching of basic catechism and faith, heartfelt sharing among the youth in groups, as well as individual silence moment with the Lord in all night adoration. Empowered with graces, they were able to talk with tourists about Jesus on the streets of Macau.
The Claretian Missionary Fr. Mario Bonfaini , offered his services to the retreatants as their spiritual director. He keeps himself young at heart, even at the age of 74! (He already has an Italian Blog: China news!: http://notiziedicina.blogspot.com ).  Here we see him with a group of youngsters who attended the retreat.
